Fairyland Loop Hike, Bryce Canyon

I had hoped that sharing a small space would prompt me to get outside more. It did. That and the absolutely stunning beauty of Bryce Canyon! When I was a kid I loved the National Geographic book about the Desert Canyonlands of the Southwest. I didn’t know it then, but I made a promise to myself to see it someday. I kept that promise on this hike.

Victoria was working for the day in Panguitch and wouldn’t get back until late, so I decided to go for an evening hike after the mosquito conference was over for the day. I caught the shuttle into the park, got off at the Fairyland Overlook road, and got to walking. I got back to Sunset Point too late for the last bus, so I walked back to the RV Park. Almost 10 miles in just over 3 hours, back to the trailer not too long after dark for some pot pie and ice cream.
